The Fondation Cartier pour l'art contemporain is moving: 8,500 m² refurbished by Jean Nouvel.
The Fondation Cartier pour l'art contemporain inaugurated its new space on Saturday, October 25, at 2, place du Palais-Royal. A strategic move that illustrates the ambition of the Cartier house to strengthen its presence in the nerve center of the capital.
It was in 1984 that Alain-Dominique Perrin, the president of Cartier International, imagined the Cartier Foundation. Dedicated to contemporary art, the foundation first moved to the Domaine du Montcel, in Jouy-en-Josas, before moving ten years later to Boulevard Raspail, in the 14th arrondissement.
