The Dior Gallery and the Alaïa Foundation exhibit together

Journal Du Luxe

This is a great first. The Dior Gallery and the Alaïa Foundation are joining forces for a double exhibition on a very special heritage...

Alaïa and Dior.

Hired by Dior a few months before the death of its founder in 1957, for a few days, Azzedine Alaïa, then in his twenties, acclimatized to the French house's workshops. The young Tunisian designer, newly arrived in the capital, is enriched by this experience. Inspired by the major couture brands of the time, he perfected his tailoring techniques and nourished his nascent style, he who would later become a true fashion architect, sculpting women's bodies like no one else.
