Milan Fashion Week: Prada Finds Elegance In The Unexpected
ELLE
As a parade of models walked through today's sprawling tangerine show space at Fondazione Prada in Milan, stepping in time to Art of Noise’s '80s synth track ‘Moment in Love’ clad in Prada's spring 2026 collection, spectators were quickly reminded of the power of Prada clothes: the power they have to excite, to delight, to uplift. This season was about constructing a new elegance for the here and the now.
Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons presented a response to what they termed ‘the overload of contemporary culture’ — a reaction, they said, to the uncertainty of the present day and the unknown of the future. In practice, it translated to an eclectic array of clothing, which fused ideas of fluidity and freedom with unexpected silhouettes and fun colour combinations.
