L'Oréal bets on the aesthetics market

The French beauty giant has just announced the acquisition of an additional 10% of the dermatology specialist Galderma. With now 20% of the capital, L'Oréal is consolidating its foothold in a fast-growing beauty market.

L'Oréal now owns 20% of the capital of the world leader in dermatology, Galderma. The Swiss group founded in 1981 has become the leader in dermatological care in just a few decades. Its sector of activity is structured around three pillars: injectable aesthetics (neuromodulators, fillers), dermatological care, and therapeutic and medical dermatology.
