Investing in Chinese "clean beauty"

In order to strengthen its presence in the Chinese market, L'Oréal has just invested in the local skincare brand Lan, shortly after its acquisition of a stake in the Chando brand.

L'Oréal is taking a minority stake in Chinese skincare brand Lan for an amount and cost that has not yet been disclosed. Founded in 2019, this "clean beauty" label is known for its facial oils and has a name that evokes the orchid, a symbol of purity and calm.
