Kering Beauté and L'Oréal: a takeover and licenses.
After initial information published by the Wall Street Journal over the weekend, the French luxury group has clarified the contours of its strategic alliance with the cosmetics giant.
An agreement effective in the first half of 2026. In a press release issued ahead of the publication of its third-quarter financial results, Kering confirmed the conclusion of a tripartite agreement with the L'Oréal group.
The terms of the alliance cover the right to sell Kering Beauté - and in particular the Creed label - as well as the signing of an exclusive 50-year license for Bottega Veneta and Balenciaga perfumes and beauty products. This license right, which will expand L'Oréal Luxe's portfolio, will also be extended to Gucci Beauty after the expiration of its contract with Coty, which runs until 2028.
