27% of UK shoppers buy luxury goods via social media and influencers

The latest survey by the marketing agency WWP conducted by YouGov describes the great appetite of British consumers for buying high-end items on networks, influenced by ever more powerful content creators.
The marketing agency WWP unveils a new report on online purchases with Ogilvy and The Goat Agency, conducted by YouGov among 2,000 British buyers. Interestingly, 27% of these fashion and beauty consumers who follow influencers have already purchased luxury products via social platforms such as TikTok and Instagram.
"The rise of social commerce for luxury goods represents an incredible opportunity for brands to connect with new audiences and generate significant growth. The key to success lies in understanding the nuances of this ever-changing landscape," said Ellie Hooper, Chief Client Officer at The Goat Agency.
