From the trunk to the myth: Louis Vuitton tells its story in a new book
Journal Du Luxe
Between know-how, emblematic places and artistic heritage, "From Louis to Vuitton" aims to offer a singular dive into the world of the French luxury house.
From the beginnings of the young Jura trunk maker Louis Vuitton to the emergence of one of the most powerful brands in the world, there is more than a century and a half of history that the brand likes to tell in a book to be published on November 3 in collaboration with Editions Assouline. Under the pen of author and journalist Arthur Dreyfus, "From Louis to Vuitton" intends to go beyond the retrospective to better embrace the diversity of projects that continue to punctuate Vuitton's entrepreneurial adventure: here, there is no narrative in the linear sense of the term but a literary structure established around 54 keywords, a number chosen in reference to the year of the label's founding, in 1854.
