CHANEL strengthens its partnership with the Centre Pompidou

Journal Du Luxe

A CHANEL acquisition fund dedicated to contemporary Chinese art.

The luxury house CHANEL has extended its partnership with the Parisian museum for three years. And it is betting on a strategic artistic orientation.

While the Centre Pompidou has just closed its doors to accommodate renovation work that should last until 2030, CHANEL confirms its effective support for the establishment.

The partnership, whose financial contours have not been specified, is essentially aimed at strengthening the museum's collection of contemporary Chinese art. CHANEL's investment should thus make it possible to increase the collections dedicated to this subject by nearly 30%, while a particular emphasis should be placed on the acquisition of pieces signed by female artists.
